June, A Month To Shine Bright!

June is here—and with it comes warmer days, longer evenings, and a natural pull to spend more time outdoors. It’s a wonderful time for cookouts, family vacations, and catching up with neighbors and friends. As the world around us heats up and people gather in parks, backyards, and ballfields, we’re reminded just how good it feels to be together.

And yet, as followers of Christ, we know there’s more to our togetherness than good weather and friendly conversation. Jesus calls us to be salt and light—to bring flavor, warmth, and clarity into the lives of others. As He said in Matthew 5:14–16:

“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden… Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”

This summer, as we spend more time outside and around others, may we not only enjoy the sunshine—but be the sunshine. Offer kindness. Speak encouragement. Share your faith when the opportunity arises. Be present, patient, and full of grace.

In all our gatherings this month—whether around a grill, in a pew, or under the stars—may we reflect the light of Christ.
