Steadfast Under Pressure

This sermon is all about character and what kind of character traits come forth when we are put under pressure. Notably, in the gospels, the apostles all fled and abandoned Jesus when they were placed under pressure, and let’s just be honest and say — that was a pretty extreme situation. But here, in Acts 1 — Jesus has gathered that same group of people and tells them to go and change the world – beginning in Jerusalem (the very place that Jesus was crucified). They were going to have to be steadfast under pressure. Let’s see how this turns out . . .
